Charles Watson is an English singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist most prominently known for forming the indie pop outfit Slow Club with Rebecca Taylor. Watson started Slow Club in Sheffield in 2006 with the intent of combining elements of folk and 60s pop with indie rock and twee pop. The duo put out two 7″ singles in 2007 before following up with their debut EP in 2008, and first full-length Yeah, So? in 2009.
In 2017, he joined the Surfing Magazines, a garage rock band that also featured members of the Wave Pictures. 2018 saw Watson put out his first full-length solo album Now That I’m a River, via Moshi Moshi, an LP of the most charming Americana folk rock.
