How do I get there?
By public transport:
Hamilton Square is the nearest train station to all three Future Yard venues and is just two stops (5 minutes) from Liverpool Central on the Wirral Line.
Hamilton Square station is a 5-minute walk from Birkenhead Town Hall, a 9-minute walk from Birkenhead Priory and a 10-minute walk from Bloom Building.
Woodside bus station – in front of Woodside Ferry terminal – is served by numerous bus routes from across Wirral, and is a 2-minute walk from Hamilton Square. Birkenhead bus station is served by frequent services running to and from Liverpool, and is a 10-minute walk from Hamilton Square.
The easiest way to get around the festival venues is by foot or by car/taxi.
Future Yard venues are just a short 5-10 minute walk from Birkenhead Bus Station, which has regular services to Liverpool City Centre, Chester, West Kirby and New Brighton. This means it’s easy to get buses to and from Liverpool City Centre all day and into the night. Bill Ryder-Jones and Anna Calvi’s headline performances finish at Birkenhead Town Hall at midnight which leaves plenty of time to get to Birkenhead Bus Station.
Bus Times from Future Yard to Liverpool – Friday and Saturday night:
From Birkenhead Bus Station, get the No. 1 service at 0031hrs; 0105hrs or 0132hrs.
Buses are also running to Bromborough Cross (No. 1, 0055hrs and 0155hrs).
In addition to this, Argyle Taxis based in Birkenhead have a huge fleet of pre-bookable taxis. There is also a Hackney cab rank outside Hamilton Square Station.
