BLOOD OF ACHILLES
Following the demise of their former band, Ryan Mallows (drums) and Phil Collier (vocals, guitar) combined with producer and versatile session musician Jon Lawton (lead guitar) and their long-time friend Jon Couch (bass) to form Blood of Achilles in early 2020.
Lawton’s metalcore-influenced arrangements and song writing coalesced with Collier’s melodious and somewhat off-kilter vocals to create a chaotic yet calculated, progressive, heavy kind of music that cannot be pigeon-holed. Couch’s clever & thought-provoking bass hooks perfectly accompany Mallows’ thunderous rock drumming style to help contribute to a uniquely placed, genre-bending sound.
