CHLOE FOY
+ RACHAEL JEAN HARRIS + MADDIE LARA + GRACE ELIZABETH HARVEY + CATHERINE BULLOCKWe are thrilled to welcome Chloe Foy to the FY Garden on Sunday 27th July for a gorgeous hazy afternoon of folk under the Birkenhead sun, featuring Rachael Jean Harris, Grace Elizabeth Harvey, Maddie Lara + Catherine Bullock.
With her strikingly beautiful voice and emotionally direct songwriting, Chloe Foy has a penchant for finding magic in the spaces between light and dark. Growing up in the quiet of the English countryside, it was through music that she first learned how to express the nuance of emotion. Her songs are a reflection of that stillness, woven with threads of vulnerability and longing. Her lyrics speak to the complexity of the human experience — love, loss, and the subtle daily battles we all fight. With a voice that’s as delicate as it is powerful, she creates music that speaks to the heart.

Introducing herself to the world with her 2021 debut, Where Shall We Begin, it’s a rich and meticulously put together debut, the album received rave reviews from the likes of The Sunday Times, Clash and The Line of Best Fit. Tracks from the album regularly featured on BBC 6 Music, with support coming from Guy Garvey and Radcliffe & Maconie. With the album charting in the UK Folk Chart Top 40, Chloe truly cemented herself as an artist that flies the flag for the independent singer-songwriter with skill and finesse.
Chloe’s anticipated follow up Complete Fool, out 6th June via Kartel Music Group, captures a deepened, richer sound; merging rock-tinged folk with classic strings and layered vocals that she is becoming known for. Complete Fool explores real love and puts a microscope to the finer details of what it means to love long-term. The album isn’t afraid to ask difficult questions. What is the cost of a long-term relationship? How do you balance divergent ambitions and priorities? Do we lose parts of ourselves in the process of falling in love? The answer lies in this beautiful, poignant, yet celebratory tribute to real life and real love.

RACHAEL JEAN HARRIS
Rachael Jean Harris is a Scouse songwriter living in New Brighton. Her music has been described by BBC6 Music Introducing as “wildly original”. An adventurous fusion of folk, progressive and jazz sounds meet stories that take the listener from a prison cell in Nevada, to a Cormorant’s nest on the shores of the Mersey all the while taking musical inspiration from the poetic sensitivity of Suzanne Vega and the visceral delivery of PJ Harvey.
Rachael’s new album ‘Tethered to Nothing’ is due for release in Autumn 2025.
MADDIE LARA
Singer-songwriter Maddie Lara from Merseyside is creating ethereal folk music with dreamy, story-driven lyrics. Her unique sound combines atmospheric textures and reverb-laden vocals influenced by the likes of Thom Yorke. From recording in her bedroom, Maddie has progressed to collaborative production, offering a captivating, sweet mix of introspection and artistry.
CATHERINE BULLOCK
Catherine Bullock is an Aotearoa born indie-folk singer-songwriter with a warm, fiery edge. Their music provides a soft balm for the everyday ache of living, weaving honest reflections on queer identity, platonic and romantic relationships, and the self doubt that shadows your twenties. Catherine imbues these harsh topics with a deep honesty and earnestness, determined to write with phrases and perspectives not often heard in mainstream music. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Madison Cunningham, Maggie Rogers, and The Japanese House, their music blends astrophysics imagery, choral inspired harmony, and dissonant open tuning, into something both celestial and grounded.
