Giants Of Discovery is the solo musical project of Wirral-based electronic musician Kevin Downey. March 2020’s self-released debut album, Out Of Time (a Victorian cosmic horror concept album), quickly sold out and was followed up in June of the same year with another self-released album, Practical Dreamers. A third release in 2020 saw Monuments co-released on the Woodford Halse label. The album sold out and further sold-out releases on Woodford Halse have followed in subsequent years. There have also been sold-out albums released on the Waxing Crescent and Subexotic labels.
A new album is scheduled for release via Woodford Halse in August. Entitled Two Arrow Falls (From Chester City Walls) the album is a homage to the Wirral’s rich Viking heritage and the many places from around the peninsula whose names are born of Viking tongue.
