Music Venue Trust + The National Lottery #ReviveLive Tour

Brace for serious swagger and high energy, as we welcome York’s dynamic alt-pop trio King No-One to a Friday night party here in Birkenhead on 12th August. This show is part of Music Venue Trust‘s Revive Live summer tour, which encourages music lovers, artists and crews to get back out on the road and taking part in live music again. What’s more, they’re encouraging you to share the joy of live music by partnering with The National Lottery to offer two for one tickets on this show, so that you can bring a friend to enjoy the show with you. Support on the night comes from Ask Elliot and Jessica Luise.
Tickets on sale now – see below for further details.

Dynamic alt-pop trio King No-One have taken the live scene by storm. Originally hailing from York, the band built up their live reputation with one blistering sold-out show after another across the nations favourite small venues. After being received strongly in Manchester they decided to move into the heart of the city, and soon after, exploded as one of the biggest live emerging guitar bands in the country.

Synonymous with glamorous, pulsating anthems, KNO’s unique brand of alt-indie/pop has seen the outfit perform high profile festival sets at Reading & Leeds, Truck Festival (Main Stage), TRNSMT and more. The trio are a notorious live force to be reckoned with, and heading into their most exciting, boldest phase yet sonically and aesthetically.

We’ve all missed live music and our friends over the last couple of years. Now it’s time to #ComeTogether and #ReviveLive. Music Venue Trust has teamed up with The National Lottery to help to Revive Live music in grassroots music venues across the UK this summer with a fantastic line up of tours, one-off events and special performances. And it’s all about bringing friends and communities back together.

The National Lottery is supporting artists and crews to get out playing grassroots music venues in front of audiences, back where they are meant to be! But live music venues aren’t just about the shows. Live music is about bringing people together, celebrating that moment, that band, that song, together.

MVT and The National Lottery want to invite you to create new moments of shared experience with your family, friends and communities, because we understand the important role music plays in bringing people together. So for every National Lottery Revive Live Tour event, we are inviting every ticket holder to bring a plus one FOR FREE!

All you need to do to qualify for this offer is to show proof that one of you is a National Lottery player, either by showing us a physical lottery ticket, or one within your National Lottery app.

***Please note that the Free Ticket must be “purchased” along with your General Admission Ticket. The price you pay per ticket will display.***

Who is the person you have missed going to gigs with the most? Who is the person you want to celebrate the return of live music with? Secure your ticket and let us know on Twitter and Instagram using the hashtags #ReviveLive and #ComeTogether

Ask Elliot are a 4-piece indie band based in Liverpool, fronted by Ream Radomes with Liam Shields on drums, with Tom Houghton on lead guitar and Archie Rimmer on bass. Though rooted in indie music, Ask Elliot’s releases to date have shown a variety of influences from Pop to Rock and on recent releases “Flowers of White” and “Settle Down”, elements of Country and Disco. One thing that remains a constant in their music however, is a pure, youthful energy – both sonically and lyrically.

Since their first gig on the last day of 2018, they have played some impressive shows with support slots for the likes of Clean Cut Kid, Bloxx, Spinn and Monks and sold-out headline shows at Liverpool’s O2 Academy 2, Arts Club Loft, and the famous Zanzibar Club.

Their brand new EP, ‘Way Too Cool for Me‘ is out now – listen to their influences behind it here.

Jess has had a steady release of singles, as well as her debut EP Going In Blind. Since assembling a collection of experienced musicians for her band a year ago, she has progressed from small independent venues, suited to the acoustic intimacy of a solo artist, to performing at larger venues, such as The Cavern Club, The Breadshed and Yes Basement.
