PVA | Future Yard

We’re hyped to be welcoming the thrilling South London electronica trio PVA to Future Yard, as part of their latest run of live shows supporting their storming album BLUSH. Off the back of a huge run of shows in 2022 – which saw them headline a packed out Village Underground – the Grammy-nominated group are heading back out on the road in support of a record that has thrust their raw, jagged energy to the fore.

We’ve been fans of PVA ever since we heard the first pulsating beats of Divine Intervention come storming out of the speaker. They have twice been booked to play shows at Future Yard, but Covid and illness have got in the way. We can’t wait to have them finally grace our stage, and turn FY’s live room into their own den of iniquity.

Tickets on sale now.

PVA’s latest run of dates follow the release of debut album BLUSH, which was released to critical acclaim in October 2022 via Ninja Tune, landing at #2 in the UK Official Dance Albums Chart, #13 in the Official Independent Albums Chart, and #25 in the Official Vinyl Albums Chart.

Following their widely praised EP Toner, the band’s stunning debut album saw them further consolidating the beating pulse of electronic music with the raw energy of a life-affirming gig and reveals more about the trio than they’ve ever previously shared.

The eleven blistering tracks from the group, Ella Harris and Josh Baxter (who share lead vocals as well as handling synths, guitars and production) alongside drummer and percussionist Louis Satchell, are made from a formula of acid, disco, blistering synths, the release of the dancefloor and cathartic sprechgesang post-punk.

As further proof of their mesmerising live allure, PVA were nominated for Best Live Performer at 2022’s AIM Awards, a nomination which came as the band made a slew of powerful performances across Latitude Festival, Standon Calling, The Great Escape, Route du Rock, Into The Great Wide Open, Congés Annulés, and Wilderness, as well as SXSW in 2021. Now, the band continue their must-see victory lap with these new dates across the UK.

“When it’s not glass shattering bass and techno, intimate whispers and expansive synthscapes show off PVA’s versatility” - Loud & Quiet
