Women In Dance Music

We’re delighted to be hosting this women-only charity fundraiser club night, in partnership with One For The Girls Events and Tomorrow’s Women Wirral.

The club night will take over our Live Room, featuring a host of female DJs, dancers and stalls from local organisations. One For The Girls’ creator Emma Lundy will head up the DJs for the night, bringing club classics and a feel good atmosphere.

Following research, Tomorrow’s Women found that 93% of women don’t feel safe being out alone at night, with 82% not feeling safe in bars/clubs. This event is a first step to combat by providing a safe space for women at night, free from harassment, and raising awareness of violence against women and girls. The event also has support from the city region’s Police and Crime Commissioner, Emily Spurrell.

The night will be a celebration of women in dance music, led by local DJ Emma Lundy and dancers. In addition to the live event, organisations aimed at supporting women’s safety will be in attendance offering advice and support on how women can stay safe at night.

Tomorrow’s Women is a charity for women, run by women, offering support with a range of issues.

One For The Girls is a women-only music collective, whose focus is on creating safe and inclusive events for women.
