Dark Reign Festival

The first ever metal festival in Birkenhead, Dark Reign Festival takes over the entire venue on 1st June 2024. We’re hyped to welcome this event to our outdoor and indoor stages, which celebrates some huge names from the international scene alongside some brilliant new artists from the North West.

Immerse yourself in an all-day celebration of music, surrounded by the energy and passion of Party Cannon, Viscera, Harbinger, Divine Chaos, Exhumation, Unfathomable Ruination, Reclaim, Godless and our own local metal superstars Witcheater.

This is more than just a festival; it’s a historic celebration of the enduring spirit of the music community in Merseyside.  Get ready for a day filled with headbanging, mosh pits, and unforgettable memories. Let’s make history together.

Early bird tickets are available now, in limited quantities. From 1st March 2024 the ticket price rises to £30. Tickets include entry to the after party (see below for details).

It’s can’t be an all-day festival without an after-party! Who better than the party animal from the metal scene to host this, James Montieth from Tesseract. All ticket holders get access to the after party, more details to follow.

Podcast partner – The Spoken Metal Show

Mark Cooper is the producer, creator and host of The Spoken Metal Show podcast. The compère of
Bloodstock’s Metal to the Masses Merseyside and a regular speaker at Liverpool John Moores University alongside guesting on podcasts speaking about touring, the music industry and metal. Mark has written and reviewed for many outlets and works with new artists to develop EPKs and structure releases and social media strategies. Touring for many years in every aspect from merchandising, technical support, stage managing and tour management, Mark works with new and established artists in the live arena.
