Christmas Quiz

Some people say that it wouldn’t truly be Christmas without our annual Christmas Music Quiz. And who are we to argue?

Come and get festive with us in the run-up to Christmas with a test of wits, music trivia and bad jokes, as the greatest quizzing minds ever assembled (in Birkenhead) battle it out for the greatest prize known to humankind – the smug satisfaction of being reigning quiz champs for another 12 months.

We have been hosting this festive music quiz in various forms for almost a decade, in partnership with Liverpool’s much loved and long-running club night, Liquidation. Future Yard have taken over hosting duties from Bido Lito!, but the spirit of the pink pages is well and truly alive.

All proceeds from the night will be split between two charities that have long been associated with this event, MIND and The Whitechapel Centre. MIND is a mental health charity that has been running since the 1960s, providing advice and support to people across the UK who may be experiencing a mental health problem. The Whitechapel Centre is the leading homeless and housing charity for the Merseyside region, working tirelessly with people who are sleeping rough or living in hostels to give them the support they need.

There are plenty of ways to win on the night, with a variety of prizes to be won. But by simply attending you are supporting the great work of these two charities.

It’s a ‘Christmas’ quiz because it’s taking place at Christmas, there will be mince pies and there will definitely be Jona Lewie. It’s a ‘music’ quiz because all the questions will be about music (even the Match Of The Day question) and because of Punk Rock Bingo. Festive knitwear is positively encouraged.

You can buy individual tickets if you’re competing in small groups, or reserve a table if you’ve got a larger team. Teams up to a maximum of 8 people. For any questions about booking or to reserve a table, email us on quiz@futureyard.org.
Doors at 7pm, quiz starts promptly at 7.30pm. We’ll be finished by 11pm, in time for the last bus or train!
