New Noise Music Centre
CALLING THE MUSIC MAKERS OF TOMORROW!
Do you LOVE music and want to develop your playing or learn new concepts and techniques?
Want to meet, jam and collaborate with likeminded music makers?
If the answer to any of these is YES then get yourself to New Noise Music Centre!
New Noise is here to support the next generation of music makers. This is a space for young people aged 13-17 to experiment across a range of instruments and music-making techniques. Each session begins with a full-group exploration of a theme, moves into focused workshop sessions with dedicated tutors, and culminates in small project groups where participants work on songs, performances, or music-related projects. Over three terms, young people will gain tangible skills, confidence and industry understanding all while working toward performances and showcases on the Future Yard stage.
Whether you dream of performing, working with technology, or exploring careers in the music industry, New Noise Music Club gives you the skills, inspiration and insight to make it happen. This is a safe space for young musicians to meet like-minded people and work towards inspiring goals together.
This isn’t your standard music class. New Noise combines:
- Hands-on music-making: songwriting, live performance, improvisation and technology
- Industry insight: guidance from local musicians, producers and live event professionals
- Creative identity + collaboration: from band branding and visual design to festival and gig planning
- Exciting topical themes: including global music, social and environmental storytelling and event design.
Participants are encouraged to explore as many disciplines as possible. The programme is aimed at young musicians with some experience playing an instrument*. All we ask is that you come with an openness to collaborate, try new things, and make some noise!
New Noise Music Clubs are accessed through a rolling monthly subscription, which costs £52.99 per month, charged on the 1st of every month.
This price gives you year-round access to New Noise, including even more of the usual high-quality weekly sessions, with a range of additional opportunities and benefits such as:
– Showcases and performance opportunities
– Public gig opportunities
– Live production and event work experience
– Discounted and free tickets to selected events
– Rehearsal spaces allocation
– Priority in-session use of our new learning and rehearsal studios
– Opportunities to make the most of Future Yard’s highly anticipated, new 600-capacity venue
The subscription is designed to give you consistent access to sessions throughout the year, alongside more opportunities to perform, develop your skills, gain industry experience, and connect with the wider Future Yard community and local music scene.
Sign ups to the subscription open on Thursday the 16th of July. Spaces are limited.
*You do not need to have done grades or passed any exams. However we do expect that you know the basics (for example how to play a few basic chords/ play a basic beat) to ensure that your young person is at a similar level to other participants. If your young person is an absolute beginner at their instrument, you may be interested in our Band Clubs instead.
