Annual Impact Report
We are proud to present our Annual Impact Report, which is a distillation and showcase of all of the vital work that we do in our community music venue, the impact that has in and for Birkenhead.
The latest version of the report gathers together all of our activity and achievements over the period April 2024 to March 2025. In it we demonstrate the impact that our wide variety of programmes have had, with a particular focus on our immediate community in Birkenhead. The report demonstrates the importance of these spaces in uniting communities, and presents a hopeful picture of how we can rebuild a sense of togetherness and fraternity in our neighbourhoods.
Whether you’re a regular gig-goer, you’ve used our studios, taken part in one of our training programmes, or your child has engaged with Mosh Tots or New Noise, we really appreciate your support. Similarly, if you’ve supported Future Yard in any way to bring these events and programmes to fruition, we’re really grateful for the belief you’ve shown in us. Future Yard is a Community Music Venue at the heart of Birkenhead, on the Wirral. Our mission is to utilise music as a transformational opportunity, based on the founding principle that music can change the world. In our case, this means improving the lives of local people and utilising music as a force for good in our town.
We’ll continue to make sure that our work is is broad, open, international and as diverse as possible. we’ll celebrate our differences, our plurality, our multiculturalism. There’s something fundamental about a venue on Argyle Street hosting Ethiopian jazz, American blues, Peruvian psych, French pop, Japanese drone, Brazilian tropicália and Indian minimalism. It opens up the world. Music reminds us who we are.
