Gig Panto – Hoodstock ’25
8 SHOWS BETWEEN 22 + 31 DECEMBER 2025
The year is 2025, and Robin Hood and his Mersey Men are distant legends of musical folklore. Once upon a time, they tore up the stage at the legendary Hoodstock ’99 festival. Since then, however, the music world has become a miserable place. The evil Sheriff has created an AI songwriting supercomputer in order to monopolise the music industry, and banned ANY form of live music including Christmas choirs, football chants, ice cream vans and even the bells of Birkenhead Town Hall.
With the masses left in silent despair, the Sheriff decides to cash-in and announces a new mega-festival, featuring all the worst of his AI generated bands – No Direction, Charlie A.B.C, Just a Beaver, Sabrina Plasterer and David Guetta. Only Robin Hood can save live music from disappearing; but to do so, he’ll have to get the band back together and play the greatest set of all time…
There are eight showings of this Gig Panto during December, with shows on Monday 22nd, Tuesday 23rd, Wednesday 24th (matinée), Friday 26th (matinée), Sunday 28th, Monday 29th, Tuesday 30th and Wednesday 31st (matinée).

Our pizza kitchen will also be open throughout the market—serving up hot, fresh, and delicious pizzas made in-house each day. We use only the finest ingredients from independent suppliers across Merseyside and beyond, crafting classic Italian-style pizzas with a merry Birkenhead twist.

Christmas Quiz
Monday 15th December 2025
Some people say that it wouldn’t truly be Christmas without our annual Christmas Music Quiz. And who are we to argue?
Come and get festive with us in the run-up to Christmas with a test of wits, music trivia and bad jokes, as the greatest quizzing minds ever assembled (in Birkenhead) battle it out for the greatest prize known to humankind – the smug satisfaction of being reigning quiz champs for another 12 months.
All proceeds from the night will be split between two charities that have long been associated with this event, MIND and The Whitechapel Centre.
It’s a ‘Christmas’ quiz because it’s taking place at Christmas, there will be mince pies and there will definitely be Jona Lewie. It’s a ‘music’ quiz because all the questions will be about music (even the Match Of The Day question) and because of Punk Rock Bingo. Festive knitwear is positively encouraged.
You can buy individual tickets if you’re competing in small groups, or reserve a table if you’ve got a larger team. Teams up to a maximum of 8 people. For any questions about booking or to reserve a table, email us on quiz@futureyard.org.
Doors at 7pm, quiz starts promptly at 7.30pm. We’ll be finished by 11pm, in time for the last bus or train!
