TRAINEE EVENT MANAGER
Future Yard is offering a six-month paid placement as part of the DWP’s Kickstart Scheme. For enthusiastic individuals who are interested in careers in live music, aged 16-24 and are currently claiming Universal Credit. Applications involve a covering letter and CV to be sent following a referral.
£9.50 p/h

Future Yard is looking for an individual who is passionate about live music to join their team to assist in the delivery of its live events. Future Yard’s in-house team are responsible for the curation, booking, marketing and live event management of an exciting programme of gigs in 2022 and beyond. The Trainee Event Manager role will support our team across this activity and undertake shadow and supervised shifts running events with the team of event managers, alongside independent box office shifts. They will also be involved in the process leading up to the events, communicating with performing artists/bands and their teams. Future Yard also expect the trainee to work towards organising their own event at Future Yard, supported by the team.
The successful individual will also support the Future Yard team with the delivery of its Sound Check training programme, which is an introductory pathway into the live music industry. This means that the trainee event manager will be required to undertake a DBS check.
