We are looking to recruit a Kitchen Supervisor, with prior kitchen experience, to work in our busy pizza kitchen, servicing our wide range of live music events at our venue on Argyle Street, Birkenhead.
This is a unique opportunity to join the team at one of the UK’s most exciting new music venues. With a bar, coffee shop, live venue, studio spaces, and vegetarian kitchen, we have played host to artists such as English Teacher, Nadine Shah, Congo Natty, Dry Cleaning, Anthony Szmierek, Westside Cowboy, OMD, Lambrini Girls and The Coral with a programme encompassing the best in emerging new music, hip hop, reggae, contemporary alternative, jazz, electronic and experimental music.
We are now approaching an exciting new milestone as we build a second live room space and additional studio capacity.
THE ROLE
We are looking for a member of staff to lead on the delivery of our kitchen operation across our programme of live music and special events, driving consistent standards and continuous improvements.
During operational shifts, you will prepare and serve our delicious range of vegetarian and vegan Neapolitan-style pizzas. You will be knowledgeable in, and interested to learn about, our products, sharing this knowledge with staff and customers.
The role also includes leading on kitchen admin and back of house tasks such as stock taking and ordering, deep cleans and dough making. With the support of the Venue Manager you will lead on the development of kitchen staff through guidance, training and setting an example of quality service, resulting in a capable, flexible kitchen team across dough, prep, service and back‑of‑house operations.
You will receive full training on our menu, kitchen-related processes and procedures, stock taking and ordering systems, and any other areas deemed necessary. You will require a knowledge of basic food hygiene, and you will be warm, friendly and engaging with staff members and customers.
You will carry out your activities in a busy, high energy, fast-paced and fun environment.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
We are looking for an individual with a passion for delivering high quality food and service to customers, is committed to maintaining a compliant and safe working environment, and someone who can motivate and inspire kitchen team members to continue the high standards set.
