Twelve Bells #004: Audiojack + Jinjé
TWELVE BELLS PRESENTS
Twelve Bells welcome Audiojack to the live room – the UK DJ duo behind some of the biggest house records of the last two decades. Debuting with their iconic Robot on Leftroom in 2006, Audiojack arrived on the scene to critical acclaim. They soon signed to Ralph Lawson’s 2020 vision label, where they released several notable records including Get Serious, Motion Sickness, No Equal Sides, and their debut album Radio.
After joining Damian Lazarus’s Crosstown Rebels in 2016, Audiojack had success with Turya, Reverie and Inside My Head topping charts, followed by second album Surface Tension: a conceptual story which features hit Feels Good, with Jem Cooke on vocals. Audiojack’s collaborations with Kevin Knapp on vocals have produced many big records including Vibrate, Implications and Stay Glued, whilst other guest vocalists have included LCD Soundsystem’s Nancy Whang, Eli & Fur and Polarbear.
It was Audiojack’s passion for DJing which originally inspired them to produce, and after two decades behind the decks together they are masters of the back-to-back set. Their energetic performances have taken them to many of the world’s greatest clubs and festivals in over 70 countries, including Space and DC10 in Ibiza, fabric and Studio 338 in London, Watergate and Kater Blau in Berlin, Rex in Paris, Womb in Tokyo, D-Edge in Sao Paulo, Zouk in Singapore, Hive in Zurich and Fabrik in Madrid.
Support comes from Jinjé (Lee Malcom). Founding member of experimental Leeds-based band Vessels who have morphed from being local post-rock heroes into a maximalist live techno outfit. Lee is a skilled DJ and an established electronic solo artist in his own right with a series of releases under his Lee J Malcolm moniker for EPM. As Jinjé, he has released two singles for Messrs.
