SOUND STORIES

A creative music project from Future Yard, helping pupils discover the stories, sounds and voices within their own communities and transform them into music.

Across six sessions, pupils explore the world around them, build rhythms and hooks, experiment with lyrics and musical ideas, and work together to create a shared class piece. It brings the energy, creativity and collaboration of real music-making into the classroom, with resources designed to support both specialist and non-specialist teachers.

Sound Stories is also a first step into Future Yard’s wider approach to music education, connecting classroom music with live performance, instrumental learning, creative workshops, careers activity and opportunities to make music together.
