We are looking to appoint an experienced fundraising professional to a new role of Fundraising + Partnerships Manager.

As a non-profit Community Interest Company, we must develop a range of revenue streams to support our work. Ensuring we have brilliant relationships with a range of funders, corporate partners, patrons, social investors and stakeholders is vital to achieving this.

You will develop, grow and maintain these relationships, ensuring Future Yard maximises a broad range of revenue streams across grant funding, corporates, major donors, individual giving and impact investing. You will have the opportunity to input and shape the fundraising and partnership strategy you will be delivering against, supported by our Director of Audiences.

The next 12 months represent an exciting period for Future Yard. We are in the process of changing our governance structure, moving to a charitable model. We are also about to embark on a large capital building project, creating new performance and workshop spaces. Both these projects have shaped our fundraising and partnership strategy and present a unique opportunity for the ideal candidate to have a direct role in shaping the future of our organisation.

Future Yard has been active in social impact investing, working with a number of impact investors to establish and support our work to date. Our new Fundraising + Partnerships Manager will be interested in social value, aware of the opportunity it presents and excited by its potential to play a part in our business model ongoing.

Working within our Leadership Group, this role will report to the Director Of Audiences. Future Yard CIC is a relatively young organisation and has grown into its current position of prominence in just five years. We are an award winning, grassroots cultural institution, anchor organisation in Birkenhead’s regeneration and an Arts Council England NPO.

This is a unique opportunity to join the team at one of the UK’s most exciting new music organisations. Since fully opening in the summer of 2021, we have played host to artists such as Nadine Shah, Anna Calvi, Gruff Rhys, OMD, Doves, Black Country New Road, Everything Everything, English Teacher, The Zutons, Nubiyan Twist, Shame, Melt Yourself Down, Dry Cleaning, The Coral, Bodega and many more, with a programme encompassing the best in contemporary alternative, jazz, electronic and experimental music.

Future Yard is committed to providing a range of pathways for local young people to develop the skills needed to embark on careers within the live music industry.

As a member of the Future Yard family you will benefit from a range of bonuses, including: free entry to all Future Yard shows, training and social events, our cycle to work scheme, paid training, ongoing development opportunities and a brilliant range of staff discounts.

Future Yard takes its safeguarding responsibilities to children and vulnerable adults very seriously and is committed to providing a safe environment for all who walk through our doors. We expect all our staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

We are looking for an experienced fundraising professional to undertake this role at an important time in our organisation’s development. Ideally you will have relevant experience within the music/creative industries, although candidates with transferable and appropriate experience from other sectors are also encouraged to apply.

We are particularly looking for an individual who shares Future Yard’s values and is/has:

  • Demonstrable and successful fundraising experience in a relevant sector, including bid writing
  • A track record of success, building valuable, financially beneficial partnerships
  • Demonstrable experience of building and maintaining relationships with a range of commercial and charitable partners
  • An appetite to innovate and an interest in the opportunities around impact investing and social value
  • An understanding of patron and individual giving programmes
  • A passion for the power of culture and a deep interest in music
  • Great team working skills, flexibility and an appetite to continually develop
  • Excellent communication skills and an ability to brilliantly articulate and present Future Yard’s vision
  • You will be a well organised, disciplined self-starter
