Blueprint
Future Yard Presents
Liverpool-based BLUEPRINT are a genre-bending 5-piece jazz-fusion band redefining how complex music connects.
Sonically, BLUEPRINT sit within a new wave of female-fronted bands such as FORAGER and WILLOW. Inspired by the off-kilter grooves of HIATUS KAIYOTE and the melodic vocals of JONI MITCHELL, they craft a contemporary jazz sound that blends intricate rhythms, rich harmony and adventurous songwriting.
Built on shifting time signatures and fluid, evolving arrangements, BLUEPRINT’s music embraces rhythmic complexity without losing its sense of flow—grooves twist and turn yet feel natural and intuitive. Influenced by London’s modern jazz movement, including ALFA MIST, they bring sharp rhythmic phrasing and dynamic interplay to compositions that challenge expectations without alienating the listener.
Drawing on the introspective lyricism, their songwriting moves between the philosophical and the deeply personal, grounding their experimental sound in human experience. With a sound rooted in exploration but driven by feel, BLUEPRINT are carving out a space where complexity becomes accessible—and where the unfamiliar starts to feel like home.
