Coilguns
Future Yard Presents
Initially coming from the DIY hardcore scene, Coilguns have crafted since then their very own blend of punk and ecstatic noise-rock. They are known for their raw, uncompromising and euphoric live performances, proudly serving the dancing freaks and the crowd-surfing weirdos.
The band history is deeply bound to the development of guitarist Jona Nido’s own label – Humus Records – that now gathers up to 170 releases from Swiss artists of all sonic horizons. Though most of their first albums were 100% self-produced, engineered and mixed by the band members, Coilguns drove in the summer of 2022 to end-of-the-world’s Oceansound Recordings in Norway with producer Scott Evans to track their fourth studio album, later mixed by Grammy-nominated producer Tom Dalgety. Released in November 2024, the album marked a turning point for the band and led to their most extensive touring cycle to date, with over 85 shows played worldwide in 2025.
Stoked by this unexpected exposure, the band couldn’t wait to write and record a fifth album, and managed to sneak it in between tours. These new tracks were mixed again by Tom Dalgety (Ghost, Pixies, Royal Blood, Tiger Cub) and recorded by Scott Evans (Thrice, La Dispute, Neurosis), but this time the American engineer flew to Switzerland to track the band in their hometown. Recording took place right after their first Mexican tour, at the headquarters of their own record label – Humus Records – an old warehouse packed with vintage gear in the city center of La Chaux-de-Fonds. To make sure not to miss any opportunity the songs could offer, the band also asked Ben Chisholm (Chelsea Wolfe, The Armed) to contribute to the whole with some overdubs and additional production. After releasing two singles this spring, Peace Trader and Carbon Magic, Coilguns now unveils a third single, Everything We Love, We Destroy, the title track of the band’s fifth studio album. The single will be released on September 11th, while the full album Everything We Love, We Destroy will officially follow on November 6th, 2026.
