Future Yard are excited to welcome Way Dynamic, the solo project of Melbourne’s Dylan Young
Way Dynamic will soon release internationally Massive Shoe – a third album that’s playful and understated, luminous and textured.
Massive Shoe is minimalist folk-pop, art rock and baroque pop, produced and largely played by Young, who moonlights in Melbourne’s beloved Cool Sounds and Good Morning and has played drums with Snowy Band and Kankawa Nagarra.
It’s tempting to only compare these timeless songs to those of yesteryear, but there’s a sensibility, a turn of phrase, that feels deeply contemporary: it’s telling that Waxahatchee’s Katie Crutchfield described “Miffed It” as her “favourite song in a VERY long time”, and Katie and MJ Lenderman have both taken Way Dynamic on tour. At the same time, Sir Elton John said that he “just cannot stop listening” to “Ibiza”.
Young’s songs don’t shy away from sentiment, or equally from silliness: on any given song he might evoke a cruisy trip through hell or earnestly lament a miscommunication. Whether the journey is to space or along the Seine, we’re very much along for the ride
Support comes from Snowy a Melbourne music devotee / addict. Most of his time is spent finishing his latest project while simultaneously dreaming about the next. When not leading his band in their folk-infused meltdowns Snowy is usually busy following another side-quest, reaching for something new.

Made hot and fresh in-house each day, our pizzas use the best ingredients sourced from independent suppliers in Merseyside and beyond. The result is a classic Italian pizza handcrafted in Birkenhead, with a tasty new twist.
- All our pizzas are vegetarian and vegan friendly, available by the slice or a full 16″ pizza
- Kitchen open 3pm-9pm for this event. Usual opening hours are 5-9pm on Fridays + Saturdays, plus all show days

VENUE INFO
Future Yard is open every day from 10am – so you can stop by for a coffee or a pre-show drink in our bar area whenever you like. Our pizza kitchen is open on weekends and before every gig, 5-9pm.
The live room doors open at 7:00pm (this is separate from our bar area), and music starts shortly after. The bar is open after the show.
