We are looking to recruit a dynamic, driven individual to work in a new events sales role at our venue on Argyle Street, Birkenhead.

We are looking to bring on board an Event Sales Co-Ordinator in a new role within our team, supported by our Head Of Live Programme and working within our Live Programme team. As a non-profit, Community Interest Company, we must develop a range of revenue streams to support our work. Ensuring we have a wide range of events being delivered at the venue is key to our long term sustainability.

This role will develop and maintain relationships with potential clients and individuals looking to host a range of private hires, corporate and commercial events at Future Yard, for example: celebrations, corporate events, parties, meetings, away-days, prize-givings and weddings. The Events Sales Co-ordinator’s responsibility is to ensure the venue has a strong pipeline of event hires that compliment our live music programme.

The Events Sales Co-Ordinator will handle in-bound enquiries, providing excellent communication with clients and rigorous organisation to ensure our production and F+B teams have all the information required to deliver excellent events. You will generate enquiries, building a sales pipeline through working with our marketing and partnerships teams.

This is a unique opportunity to join the team at one of the UK’s most exciting new music venues. Since fully opening in the summer of 2021, we have played host to artists such as Gruff Rhys, OMD, Black Country New Road, The Coral, Nubiyan Twist, Shame, Melt Yourself Down, Badly Drawn Boy, We Are Scientists, Bodega and many more, with a programme encompassing the best in contemporary alternative, jazz, electronic and experimental music.

Future Yard was established with the aim of creating a transformational live music venue for the people of Birkenhead, Wirral and Merseyside. We’re passionate about the power of music and the positive impact a high-quality community music venue can have on people’s lives. Future Yard is at the heart of the regeneration vision for Birkenhead.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop a strong pipeline of private hires, corporate and commercial events at Future Yard.
  • Utilise strong sales skills to close deals.
  • Engage in outreach and marketing to ensure a healthy flow of enquiries.
  • Manage in-bound event enquiries.
  • Utilise excellent organisational skills to ensure Future Yard teams have all the necessary information to deliver events successfully.
  • Provide excellent customer service from the point of enquiry, through event delivery to post-event debrief.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

We are looking for an individual who shares Future Yard’s values and is/has:

  • Experience of events, marketing, partnerships, sponsorship, business development, advertising and/or fundraising – though those with any relevant experience will be considered
  • A passion for the power of culture and a deep interest in music
  • Great team working skills, flexibility and an appetite to continually develop
  • Excellent communication skills and an ability to brilliantly articulate and present Future Yard’s vision
  • You will be a well organised, disciplined self-starter
  • You may have a clean driving licence and access to a car, though this is not essential .
