Whether you’re delivering life-changing performances in our Mosh Tots or New Noise bands, leading instrument sessions and band clubs, or delivering interactive music outreach sessions, you’ll be at the heart of shaping the future of music education. We’re particularly interested in hearing from people with skills in guitar, bass, drums, keyboard, vocals and multi-instrumentalists, but welcome interest from all musical backgrounds.

Since fully opening in the summer of 2021, we have played host to artists such as Nadine Shah, Anna Calvi, Gruff Rhys, OMD, Doves, Black Country New Road, Everything Everything, English Teacher, The Zutons, Nubiyan Twist, Shame, Melt Yourself Down, Dry Cleaning, The Coral, Bodega and many more, with a programme encompassing the best in contemporary alternative, jazz, electronic and experimental music.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

We are looking for charismatic, creative and adaptable musicians who thrive on engaging audiences, sparking creativity and making music accessible to all.

You’re not just a musician – you’re a performer, educator and creative force. You thrive on engaging with audiences, sparking curiosity and making music accessible to all. Whether on stage, in a classroom, or leading a workshop, you bring energy, passion and a fresh approach to music education.

We are particularly looking for an individual who shares Future Yard’s values and who:

  • Lives and breathes music – You’re a confident performer, comfortable playing live and interacting with audiences of all ages
  • Engages and inspires – You can hold a room, connect with people, and make music exciting, whether performing, teaching, or leading a workshop
  • Is creative and adaptable – You think on your feet, bring fresh ideas to the table, and can tailor experiences to different groups and settings
  • Loves working with young people – You’re patient, encouraging, and passionate about nurturing the next generation of musicians
  • Has a strong stage presence – You don’t just play music—you perform it, making every session an immersive and memorable experience
  • Has a passion for the power of culture and a deep interest in music.
  • Has a valid driving licence and access to a car (desirable, but not essential)
  • Is a well organised, disciplined self-starter
